Leather Floral Carving and Tooling - Beginner

This Online Course is designed to teach the foundations of Leather Floral Carving and Tooling for the Serious Beginner.

I have been tooling leather for over 25 years. What started as a hobby in my youth, turned out to be my career and passion. I have shared my understanding of floral carving with many over the years, and now we have put together what we think is a quality in-depth Course to make this knowledge accessible to anyone wanting to become proficient at tooling leather.

This course is designed to benefit those who are brand new to floral carving as well as those who might want to improve on the knowledge and skills they currently have. The goal of the course is to create a solid foundation in the areas of leather selection, casing, tools, and processes.

We have added a "Final Critique of all 5 Panels" section to this course. This is a coaching session of sorts included in the course. You will have 30 Day access to this Critique Session (you have lifetime access to the course material still) and can turn in a photo of your panels after they are completed for my review and critiquing. This will be very valuable for improving on your tooling skills and techniques.

The Leatherwork Trade is large in scope and in my opinion Floral Carving is a completely independent skill set of that. To master this area of the craft takes a lifetime of study and devotion. Not everyone wants to put in the time that it takes. But if you are one of those that does, then I believe this course is the best starting point to begin your journey.

No course, class, or book on the market will "make" you a master carver... only you can do that. Getting quality information and putting in the time at the tooling bench is what will help you to get where you want to go with your carving.
